Flutes (Jade Absent)

• Assessment for Line 7 performance targets
  • Meghan met mastery
  • Ava: still working
    • Achieve a smaller aperture by firming embouchure and rolling the headjoint away from her lip.
    • Embouchure is not yet firm enough to allow a smaller aperture causing the volume of the air to be too large and too slow.
    • Firming the embouchure at the corners and working toward a smaller aperture will set her up for better success
    • She was able to accomplish this today but did not achieve consistency.

• Practice playing Eb and F on page 8

• Meeting performance targets on lines 12, 14, 17, 22 and 23

• Assessed performance targets for line 7
• Used Line 16 to achieve legato tonguing style for quarter and half note rhythms

• Set individual goals to meet performance targets of benchmark lines: 17, 22, 23
